New Update From Messina University, Pre-registration Process

Students planning to apply to Messina University for IMAT 2025 must complete the pre-registration process on the university’s portal. For the 2025/2026 academic year, a €15.00 application fee is required for up to two applications and must be paid before submission.

We recommend selecting programs based on your previous field of study and reviewing the admission requirements before applying. Register on the Unime Applicant Portal and submit the required documents listed below to have your profile evaluated:

1. High school diploma obtained after 12 years of education. If you do not have your diploma yet, you can upload an official provisional certificate issued by your School (Course Completion Certificate). If your high school diploma is less than 12 years old, you can submit it.
   • An academic certificate stating that you have passed all the required exams in your first year of university studies.
   • Certificate from any Italian University regarding the successful completion of a Foundation Programme.
2. University Entrance Exam Certificate, if required by the national education system (see the list of required documents for each Country).
3. Transcript of records.
4. Copy of a valid passport.
5. The English Language Certificate is not mandatory for the Single-Cycle Degree Programme in Medicine and Surgery (taught in English).
6. Students must check the registration procedures for the entrance test. The admission letter does not grant direct access to the degree program.
7. If your application is positively evaluated, you will receive an admission letter with instructions on registering at the Universitaly portal and going forward with the visa procedure.

The University of Messina will confirm your acceptance on the Universitaly Portal only if the abovementioned documents are valid and correctly uploaded. This will begin the visa application process.

Please note: Students who have not ranked in a useful position within the deadlines set in the calendar for nationally restricted access programs may, following the publication of any remaining available spots, submit a single enrolment application for another degree program offered by the University only if they already hold an academic admission letter for that specific program.

Deadline for Universitaly Applications: September 1, 2025 (except for a Single-Cycle Degree in Medicine and Surgery).

Non-EU candidates must note that pre-registration is separate from pre-enrollment, which is mandatory for obtaining a visa. While only some universities require pre-registration, pre-enrollment is compulsory for all non-EU students.
