This article is a simplified summary for informational purposes. The official "Bando di concorso Borsa di studio — Anno Accademico 2026/2027," issued by ERDIS Marche (Ente Regionale Diritto allo Studio) in application of the Programma regionale per il diritto allo studio a.a. 2026/2027 (deliberazione della Giunta Regionale Marche n. 872 del 6/7/2026), and published on www.erdis.it, is the only legally binding source. Always verify dates and requirements there before making decisions.
What Is the ERDIS Marche DSU Scholarship 2026/2027?
The ERDIS Marche DSU scholarship 2026/2027 — officially the "Bando di concorso Borsa di studio" — is the main financial aid package for students enrolled at the four Marche universities: Università Politecnica delle Marche (Ancona), Università degli Studi di Camerino, Università degli Studi di Macerata and Università degli Studi di Urbino "Carlo Bo," together with the region's AFAM institutions (Accademie di Belle Arti, ISIA Urbino, Conservatori of Pesaro and Fermo), the Poliarte of Ancona and the Scuola Superiore per Mediatori Linguistici.
ERDIS bandisce the concorso in application of D.Lgs. n. 68/2012, the DPCM 9 April 2001, Decreto MUR n. 1320/2021 and the Programma regionale per il diritto allo studio a.a. 2026/2027, co-financed by the Fondo Sociale Europeo Plus (FSE+), the Fondo Integrativo Statale and Regione Marche's own resources. One detail matters directly for prospective medical students: the bando explicitly covers the new semestre aperto pathway (D. Lgs. 15 maggio 2025, n. 71) for the cycle-unico courses in Medicine and Surgery, Dentistry and Prosthodontics, and Veterinary Medicine at universities with legal seat in the Marche region.
A "fuori sede" student can receive up to €7,171.11 in cash and services per year at the base rate — up to €8,605.33 for female students in STEM courses, and up to €10,326.40 when combined with the +20% for double enrollment — plus free daily meals and subsidised housing.
For 2026/2027, the ERDIS Marche DSU benefits package includes:
- A cash scholarship ("Borsa di Studio") based on income, merit, and housing status
- Free daily meals ("servizio di ristorazione") for beneficiaries, and for idonei non beneficiari beyond the first year, subject to available funds
- Subsidised university housing ("servizio alloggio") in ERDIS residences across Ancona, Ascoli Piceno, Camerino, Fermo, Macerata, Matelica, Pesaro and Urbino
- A graduation premium ("integrazione per laurea puntuale") worth half of your final-year cash borsa, for students who graduate within the normal course duration
- An integration for disability (differentiated merit requirements, extended benefit duration, and up to €2,000 for supporti and protesi) and an international mobility contribution (€600/month, up to 10 months)
- A dedicated 5% funding reserve for students whose parent(s) lost their job between July 2025 and June 2026 due to company crisis
- A +20% increase for students simultaneously and legitimately enrolled in two degree courses (Legge n. 33/2022), and a further +20% for female STEM students and +15% for the lowest ISEE bracket

Medicine, Dentistry & Veterinary Medicine: Semestre Aperto Students
Students enrolled in the semestre aperto (D. Lgs. 15 maggio 2025, n. 71) at a Marche university for Medicine and Surgery (LM-41), Dentistry and Prosthodontics (LM-46) or Veterinary Medicine (LM-42) can access subsidised housing and meal service during the semester — provided at least 51% of the teaching is delivered in presence, and subject to availability. Because ERDIS cannot assign new-admission housing spots outside the normal cycle, entry to a residence is only guaranteed once the student finalizes enrollment in the second semester of A.A. 2026/2027; a dedicated, later bando will then set out the deadlines for requesting the cash Borsa di Studio itself.

ERDIS Marche Scholarship 2026/2027 Amounts: How Much Can You Get?
The ERDIS Marche DSU scholarship amount depends on your ISEE value and your housing status (in sede, pendolare, or fuori sede/indipendente). The base figures below (Decreto MUR n. 175/2026) already reflect full-time, in-corso students at the standard 0% reduction band.
| Housing Status | Base Amount | +15% (ISEE ≤ 50% of max) | +20% STEM (female students) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Fuori sede / indipendenti | €7,171.11 | €8,246.78 | €8,605.33 |
| Pendolari | €4,190.71 | €4,819.32 | €5,028.85 |
| In sede / teledidattica | €2,890.16 | €3,323.68 | €3,468.19 |
Every fuori sede/pendolare figure already includes the value of the housing and/or meal service ERDIS provides directly; only the residual "quota contante" is paid in cash. Amounts for the "ulteriore semestre" (first extra semester beyond legal duration) are halved.
Economic Requirements (ISEE / ISPE)
| Indicator | Maximum Value 2026/2027 |
|---|---|
| ISEE (Indicatore Situazione Economica Equivalente) | €24,000.00 |
| ISPE (Indicatore Situazione Patrimoniale Equivalente) | €50,000.00 |
Increases & Reductions Based on ISEE
| ISEE Value | Increase / Reduction |
|---|---|
| €0 – €12,000.00 | +15% increase |
| €12,000.01 – €16,000.00 | Full amount (0%) |
| €16,000.01 – €18,000.00 | −12.5% |
| €18,000.01 – €20,000.00 | −25% |
| €20,000.01 – €22,000.00 | −37.5% |
| €22,000.01 – €24,000.00 | −50% |
For fuori sede and pendolare students, the cash component is never reduced below a guaranteed floor of €839.00/year (€419.50 for part-time enrollment), even at the maximum −50% reduction band.
Bonus Increases (Stackable Rules)
emoji_events Integrazione per Laurea Puntuale (Graduation Bonus)
Scholarship winners who graduate within the normal duration of their course, in the first available session of A.A. 2026/2027, receive a graduation bonus equal to half of the cash quota obtained in their last year of course. ERDIS reserves €90,000 for this benefit region-wide; if demand exceeds the fund, a single regional ranking is built by grade (110 e lode adds one point), then by ISEE. The request must be submitted online by 18 December 2027, or the bonus is forfeited. It can only be claimed once across your entire academic career.
In Sede, Pendolare, or Fuori Sede?
Your housing classification drives most of the gap in your final scholarship amount — roughly €4,280 per year separates "in sede" from "fuori sede" at the base rate. Getting the rental contract right, and on time, is critical.
In Sede
Residents of the same Comune as the course site.
€1,445 – €3,468
Pendolari
Residents of a Comune reachable by public transport within 60 minutes of the course site (see Allegato E of the bando for the full comuni list per university).
€2,095 – €5,029
Fuori Sede ⭐
Residents with a commute over 60 minutes by public transport who take onerous accommodation near the course site for at least 10 full months (5 months for last-semester students).
€5,671 – €10,326
info Documentation Matters — the Rental Contract
To be recognized as fuori sede, you need a rental contract at a genuinely onerous rate, registered with the Agenzia delle Entrate, for a period not shorter than 10 months (5 months for last-semester winners) covering the academic year, in the comune where you study or a neighbouring one. It must be uploaded on the ERDIS portal by 13 November 2026. Contracts shorter than 10 months — even if late admission to the benefit is the reason — make it impossible to receive the housing quota of the borsa.
Students whose distant residence is offset by staying with someone free of charge (no rent paid) for at least 10 months are instead classified as "pendolare," not "fuori sede."
International students are always considered fuori sede, regardless of where in Italy they reside, unless their family unit itself is resident in Italy.
ISEE Requirements for ERDIS Marche 2026/2027
To be considered in possession of the economic requirement, your ISEE 2026 must not exceed €24,000.00, and your ISPE must not exceed €50,000.00. Exceeding even one of these two values, on its own, is a cause of exclusion — both limits must be respected jointly.
All students must obtain the Dichiarazione Sostitutiva Unica (DSU) specific for "Prestazioni per il diritto allo studio universitario," either through a CAAF/professionista abilitato or directly online via INPS. If you don't yet have your ISEE attestation when you submit your application, you can still apply — but you must commit, on the online form, to presenting the DSU no later than the 28 August 2026 scadenza.
tips_and_updates Students With Income or Property Abroad
Non-resident students (extra-UE, or UE with family abroad) and Italian residents whose parents live abroad must present the documentation for the ISEEU/ISPEU parificato calculation described in Art. 11.2 of the bando — legalized and translated, or apostilled where the country adheres to the 1961 Hague Convention. Students from the Ministero dell'Università's list of "Paesi particolarmente poveri" (Allegato D) can instead present a certification from the Italian diplomatic representation confirming they don't belong to a notoriously high-income family; in that case, both ISEE and ISPE are set to zero.
Academic Credit (CFU) Requirements
First-Year Students
Matricole face a merit requirement valutato ex post — checked only when the second or third installment is due, not at the moment of application. There are two checkpoints:
20 CFU
by 10 August 2027 (multi-period courses)
→ Unlocks the 2nd/3rd installment (50% of the cash quota)
10 CFU
annual/single-period courses (5 if part-time)
→ Same checkpoint, lower threshold for annual courses
20 CFU by 30 Nov 2027
Absolute deadline to keep the whole borsa
→ Miss it and face full revoca and repayment
Note: ITS (Istituti Tecnici Superiori) students face slightly lower thresholds — 18 CFU (9 part-time) for multi-period courses and 9 CFU for annual ones. Bonus credits cannot be used to reach either of the ex-post first-year checkpoints.
Upper-Year Students
Students beyond the first year must have already earned, by 10 August 2026, the CFU set out in the bando's general table (e.g. 25 CFU for year 2 of a laurea triennale, 80 for year 3, rising to 245 for year 6 of a 6-year laurea magistrale a ciclo unico). Courses at the Università Politecnica delle Marche, Camerino and Urbino with special organization (fewer than 60 CFU/year attainable) instead follow the differentiated tables in Allegati A, B and C — always check your specific course there, as the bando explicitly ridefines these thresholds "in misura proporzionale ai crediti effettivamente conseguibili."
Ranking for upper-year students combines the ratio of CFU maturati to CFU required, plus the ratio between your average grade (media aritmetica dei voti in trentesimi) and 30, with rilevazione at 10 August. A limited "bonus" credit system — up to 5 CFU for year 2, 12 for year 3, 15 for later years — can bridge small shortfalls for access to the ranking, but bonus credits never count toward the ex-post first-year checkpoints and are never registered on your libretto.

apartment Housing Reserves
ERDIS reserves posti letto for specific groups: 3% for students with disability (≥66% invalidity or L.104/92), 1% for children of Marche-born Italian citizens resident abroad, 5% for students from the earthquake-affected comuni (cratere sismico), 0.5% for dottorato/specializzazione students, and at least 30% for first-year students. The remaining beds are distributed proportionally among upper-year students, by classe di laurea and anno di corso.
Cannot be housed? If, by 19 October 2026, ERDIS cannot offer you a place in its own residences due to lack of availability, and you can show a private rental of at least 10 months (5 for ulteriore semestre winners), you can request the housing quota of the borsa be paid in cash instead.
ERDIS Marche Scholarship 2026/2027: Payment Schedule

- 2nd installment (30% or 50%)by 31 Dec 2026
- 3rd installment (remaining 50%)on reaching 20/10 CFU by 10 Aug 2027

- Second rata (50%)by 30 Jun 2027
Payments are always subject to the actual disbursement of funds by the financing bodies.
Semestre aperto students at Medicine, Dentistry or Veterinary Medicine only enter the payment cycle once they finalize enrollment in the second semester and a dedicated bando/graduatoria is published for them — exact timing will be announced separately by ERDIS.
Semestre Aperto & International Students
ERDIS Marche's bando gives specific attention to the semestre aperto pathway for Medicine, Dentistry and Veterinary Medicine — a detail that matters directly for IMAT and international applicants weighing where to enroll for the cycle-unico programmes.
tips_and_updates Start the Document Process Early
Gathering a foreign ISEE/ISPE equivalent, legalizing and translating documents, and obtaining a codice fiscale can all take weeks. None of this can be skipped just because you're not yet formally immatricolato — especially if you're on the semestre aperto track and expect a second, later bando. Start well before the 28 September 2026 general deadline whenever a comparable date applies to your situation.
7 Mistakes That Can Cost You the ERDIS Marche Scholarship
ERDIS Marche DSU Scholarship 2026/2027 — FAQ
How much is the ERDIS Marche DSU scholarship for fuori sede students? expand_more
The base amount is €7,171.11/year (Decreto MUR n. 175/2026), rising to €8,246.78 for the lowest ISEE bracket, €8,605.33 for female STEM students, and up to €10,326.40 when the STEM and double-enrollment increases stack together.
What is the application deadline? expand_more
28 August 2026, described as perentorio — with no extensions, since the whole process is online. Students enrolling through the semestre aperto (D. Lgs. 71/2025) follow a separate, later timeline instead.
Do I need to be enrolled before applying? expand_more
The bando does not require a finalized enrollment at the time you submit your application on 28 August 2026. You do need to be enrolled by the deadline your university sets independently (Art. 3), except for students requesting the borsa for the last eligible semester of a course.
Can semestre aperto students at Medicine, Dentistry or Veterinary Medicine apply? expand_more
Yes. During the semestre aperto (D. Lgs. 71/2025) they can access subsidised housing and meal service, if at least 51% of teaching is in presence and subject to availability. The cash Borsa di Studio, however, is only requested once they finalize enrollment in the second semester of A.A. 2026/2027, through a separate bando published afterwards.
What if I don't meet the CFU requirement as a first-year student? expand_more
You need 20 CFU (10 if part-time; 10/5 for annual courses) by 10 August 2027 to unlock the second or third installment. A second, absolute deadline falls on 30 November 2027: falling short means revoca of the whole borsa, with full repayment of the money and the value of any services (housing, meals) already used.
Is there help if my parents lost their job? expand_more
Yes. ERDIS reserves 5% of funds for students in families where one or both parents lost their job between July 2025 and June 2026, due to a company crisis, and remain registered as unemployed. You still need to meet the standard merit and economic requirements, and must upload the required documentation (e.g. the licenziamento letter) by the application deadline.
