IMAT 2026

The International Medical Admissions Test (IMAT) is a standardized entrance exam used by several Italian universities for admission to English-taught medical programs. The IMAT entrance exam evaluates candidates in logical reasoning, general knowledge, biology, chemistry, physics, and mathematics. It is developed and administered by the Italian Ministry of Education, Universities, and Research (MIUR).

The exam consists of 60 multiple-choice questions divided into sections. There are 5 questions on logical reasoning, 4 on general knowledge, 23 on biology, 15 on chemistry, and 13 on physics and mathematics. Candidates have 100 minutes to complete the test.

Scores are calculated by awarding 1.5 points for each correct answer, while 0.4 points are deducted for each incorrect one. Unanswered questions receive 0 points. Therefore, the maximum possible score is 90 points.
